Dealon Douglas “Dean” Jarrell departed this life on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at the age of 81 years, 8 months, and 18 days. He was born in Fulton, Mississippi, on August 30, 1939, the son of the late Emmett and Clester Owens Jarrell.
For 27 years, Dealon worked as a barber until he retired. He enjoyed collecting old knives, loved classic automobiles, and especially loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Dealon is survived by his daughter, Gaylene Gregory of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Dean A. Jarrell of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Diane Shelby of Bartlett, Tennessee; grandchildren, Mandi Gregory and Jessica Smith; and great grandchildren, Adriyana, Brenlee, and Damian.
In addition to his parents, Dealon was preceded in death by his brothers, Emmett Owens Jarrell and Cliff Jarrell; and sisters, Nancy Lampley, Wanda Craig, Wayne Wilmarth, and Dale Bolton.
