Funeral service for Jessie Cecil Green, age 57, of Moulton, will be Wednesday, May 19, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Agee officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Green, who died Sunday, May 16, 2021, at his residence, was born July 9, 1963, in Decatur, to Thomas Emmett Green and Jean Elizabeth Russell Green. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Thomas Green. Mr. Green enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, playing horse shoes, raising chickens, and rolling with the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and dearly loved his family. For 18 years, he was employed by Superior Scaffolding & Insulation.
He is survived by three daughters, Cheay Godsey (Chris) of Moulton, Cassie Green of Decatur, and Jessie Green of Decatur; one son, Brandon Terry of Moulton; two brothers, Mike Green (Melissa) and Joel Green (Susan), both of Moulton; seven grandchildren, Bella Godsey, Rain Green, Trent Green, Ashton Fuqua, Chaston Fuqua, Triston Fuqua, and Cameron Godsey; four nephews and nieces, Heath Green (Britany), Christy Green, Pattie Green, and T. J. Green (Lexi); and eight great-nephews and great-nieces, Cooper Green, Deven Green, Hallie Green, Mia Green, Timothy Jones, Aiden Jones, Katie Letson, and Clair Letson.
Pallbearers will be Heath Green, T. J. Green, Antwan Fuqua, Cary Logan, Chris Godsey, and Cameron Godsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Levene Green and Tony Green.
