Billy D Michell, 84 of Taft, Tennessee, passed away Saturday May 15, 2021 at his home. Billy was born January 18, 1937 in Taft, Tennessee to the late Grady and Esther George Mitchell. He lived most of his life in and around the Taft Community, and attended Cash Point Baptist Church. He had a passion for farming, raising his cattle and enjoyed spending time with his fellow farmers at the Taft store while drinking coffee and eating breakfast.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Glendon Stasaski and brother, James Mitchell.
Billy is survived by his wife, Barbara Sharp Mitchell, of Taft, TN; daughter, Kimberly (John) Marshall, of Taft, TN; 2 grandchildren, Zachary (Lindsey) Marshall, and Lauren (Josh) Davis; 3 great grandchildren, Madelyn and Connor Marshall, and Emma Kate Davis; brother, Wesley (Janie) Mitchell, of Fayetteville, TN.
A Graveside Service will be Monday, May 17, 2021 at 4:00 PM with Bro. Derrick Moose officiating at Blanche Cemetery in Blanche, Tennessee.
