Glisteen Agnew Cook was born May 6, 1936 in Lee county unto the late Eddie Agnew and Canary Grice. She departed this earthly life on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. At an early age she joined MT. Zion Community Church, where she remained until
death.
Glisteen was much loved by her family and friends. She did not meet a stranger. She was united in Holy Wedlock to the late Lester Frank Cook. She worked for several families in the Baldwyn community. The last family she worked for was the Downs in Baldwyn. Glisteen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two children, Carolyn Ann Cook Warren and Debra Ann Cook Poole; onebrother: Charlie M. Agnew and one sister: Betty Lynn Agnew.
She is survived by her loving family, two daughters, Gloria Cook Enos (Bruce), and Melthia Agnew Tiggs; one son, Wallace I. Stewart (Linda); three sisters, Annise Roland, Hattie Pearl Nicks, and Mary Hasting (Cleven);one brother, Odell Agnew; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces.
