Elizabeth Posey Craft, 97, retired Administrative Secretary at Union Carbide and resident of Sharondale Drive, died Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Randy Owens officiating. Entombment will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Born November 24, 1923 in Lauderdale County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late George Leon Posey and the late Vernice Russell Posey. She was married to the late Paul Melton Craft who preceded her death on September 26, 1999. She was a member of the West 7th Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sisters, Earline Gooch of Florence, Alabama and Gennie Adams; brother-in-law, Donald (Faye) Craft; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, George Posey, John Posey and Edward “Buddy” Posey; and her sister, Doris Hale Brown.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Gooch, Tim Gooch, Chuck Barnett, Vince Barnett, Rick Craft and Mark Craft.
The family would like to express special thanks to the doctors and staff of NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care for the great care and love given to Mrs. Craft over the past 3 years.
