Karen Ann Ruby Karen Ann Ruby, 65, of Toney, passed away Tuesday at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Huntsville, Karen worked as a realtor for 14 years.

When Karen walked into a room, she always had a smile on her face. She could light up a room, was a bright light wherever she went, and could always make you laugh. Karen was always put together and dressed to the nines whether she was going out or just staying home. A wonderful mother and grandmother, she also had many friends and clients. She was loved so much, will be deeply missed by all, and will never be forgotten.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Alvonia Bennett, and brother, Bobby Bennett. Survivors include her husband, Arlin “Corky” Ruby; children, Lore Bennett (BJ), and Lance Fox; grandchildren, Rylan Russell, Loren Russell, Dixie Bennett and Lizzie Bennett; sister, Janice Ashabraner (Eddie) of Hazel Green; brother, Richard Bennett (Melinda) of Hartselle; sister-in-law, Brenda Bennett, of Harvest; and many nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time.
