Michael Curtis Swann, age 74 of Decherd passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at STRHS-Winchester. He was born September 19, 1946 in Tullahoma to the late Oris Curtis Swann and Jewell Frances Lawson Swann. Michael was a US Army veteran who served his country in Vietnam and in the Tennessee National Guard during Desert Storm. He worked at Wilson Sporting Goods for 25 years and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with family. Down Periscope was his favorite movie and he also enjoyed watching hunting shows and CSI on television. He will be remembered as a humble, loving, devoted husband and father. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Swann and brother, Ronnie Swann.
He is survived by his children, Ryan Swann of Decherd and Mandy (Clayton) Marshall of Belvidere; grandchildren, Kaytlin Marshall and Howard Curtis Marshall; siblings, Linda (James) Artman of Franklin and Danny (Pat) Swann of Tullahoma; mother-in-law, Wilma Jean Dodson of Winchester; and a host of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Chaplain Jerry Stewart officiating.
