Grant Ridgeway died at age 32, Saturday night, May 8, 2021.
Born in Madison County, May 3, 1989, son of Gary Ridgeway and Amy Rathmann. He graduated from Clearwater Central Catholic High School, in Clearwater Florida, where he lettered in football, baseball, basketball and track & field.
Grant continued his football career after High School at Mississippi College in Clinton MS, then transferred to Sante Fe College in Gainesville, Florida. He had a great passion for all sports and participated in any way that he could. He also had a passion for the restaurant business and loved to cook and create a warm and welcoming environment for all of his customers. Grant cherished every conversation he had and loved sharing stories with anyone who would listen.
He leaves behind his grandmother Sylvia Ridgeway of Athens, grandparents Jimmy and Hilda Page of Woodville, 2 sisters, Ashley Ridgeway Thompson, Molly Ridgeway Moore, 2 step-siblings Blaine and Raegan Rathmann, 2 brothers-in-law Laurance Thompson and Evan Moore, 1 nephew Liam Thompson, and 2 nieces Emma and Hattie Thompson, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends and all who knew him.
The service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 12, 2021, and will be held at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
