Christopher Thomas Barnhill, age 51, husband of Robin Allen Barnhill, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The family will celebrate his life with private services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on April 23, 1970 in Davidson County, Christopher was the son of Larry (Judy) Jefferson Barnhill and the late Marion Gayle Lee Abston. He married Robin Allen on May 23, 2014. He worked in construction for Covenant Constructors in Brentwood. A true outdoorsman, Christopher enjoyed doing yardwork, fishing, grilling, cooking, and building things. He had a servant’s heart, always willing to help others, and he had a special love for rescuing stray dogs.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his brothers, Jim (LeAyn) Barnhill of Lewisburg, Matt (Ashley) Barnhill of Spring Hill; sister, Mysti Barnhill of Florida; step brother, Jim (Gretchen) Gregg of Franklin, step sister, Anna (Jeb) Anderson of Mississippi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his step father, Troy “Pete” Abston; grandmother, Odessa Lampley Barnhill; and maternal grandparents: James & Eliza Lee.
