Joseph Stanley Eason passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2021 in Huntsville, AL at the age of 85.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Sylvia Dell Eason. He is survived by his three children, Eric Eason (Gloria), Tricia Meyer (David) and Scott Eason (Kimberlie); as well as his nine grandchildren, Lauren, Allie, Maddie, Delaney, Collin, Cameron, Blake, Max and Charlie.
Joe, known as Dad, Daddy and Pappaw, was active in the space program for many years. Upon his retirement in 2007 he had participated in 100 consecutive missions and had earned the coveted Silver Snoopy Award for his contributions to the space program. His family meant more to him than anything and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He will forever be remembered for his generosity, silly sense of humor, infectious laugh and his love for all things involving the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was a light in everyone’s life and he will be missed more than words can express.
The family will have a private graveside service at Memory Gardens on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
