Arts Alive 2021 – Opening Night …You Are Invited May 14

FLORENCE-Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts invites the public to attend Arts Alive Opening Night on Friday, May 14th from

6:30 pm – 9:30 pm for the Arts Alive Gallery Exhibit preview and open-air party at the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts in downtown Florence. The ticketed event will raise funds for arts education and museum programs that foster public appreciation of the arts. The Arts Alive festival takes place on May 15th-16th in Wilson Park and at the Art Center. Sponsored by the Kennedy-Douglass Arts Volunteers and community members, Opening Night will bring together artists and art-lovers alike to view the exhibit and interact with an outdoor art installation, Kaleidoscopic deLight. Artisanal cocktails will be served as well as tasty bites from local Chef John Cartwright of Rivertown Coffee Co. Twenty-five percent of gallery artwork sales is donated to the Kennedy-Douglass Arts Volunteers for their Arts Education endowment fund. Details about the event and tickets are available online at www.florencealmuseums.com/calendar

Located at 217 East Tuscaloosa Street in Florence, the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts is open, free of charge, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Sundays 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Museum programs are made possible, in part, by a grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts. The Arts Alive Festival is sponsored by the Kennedy-Douglass Art Center Volunteers.
