Funeral services for Dorothy Kathleen Ray, age 79, will be held on Tuesday April 27, 2021 at 2 pm in the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joey Johnson officiating. Interment will take place at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, from 10 am to 2 pm. All appropriate social distancing protocols with face masks required will be observed as recommended by the CDC and the State of Tennessee.
Mrs. Ray a retired accountant in the manufacturing industry and member of Whitehall Baptist Church passed away on Sunday April 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.
Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by : her parents Otis and Irene (Carter) Humphrey, a sister Alma Jones, and a daughter Dianne Steward.
Mrs. Ray is survived by: he husband Chester Ray of Trenton, TN; Three daughters Joanna Cross of Trenton, TN, Debra Steward of Chicago,IL, and Kim and husband Joe Boyle of Dyersburg, TN; two sons Kevin and wife Carey Miller of Arlington Heights, IL and Royce and wife Linda Steward of Tucson, AZ; a brother Jimmy Humphrey of Waverly, TN; eight grandchildren Dayna and husband Ronnie Manrriquez, Kyle and husband Jason Frink, Jasmine Steward, Patricia Miller, Nevaeh Cross, Malaki Cross, Emily Boyle, and Isabella Boyle.
