He was employed at Hubbel Power System for 15 years and at Spears Coast Line for 5 years. He was a loving son, caring father and a friend to many. Jay was a kind man that everyone loved; an avid hunter and fisherman and loved outdoor adventures. He was a graduate of Giles County High School and attended both MTSU and Martin College.
The visitation will be 11:00am until 1:00pm Tuesday, April 20th, 2021, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm Tuesday, April 20th, 2021, in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
The burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his father Jimmy Sims, Jr., and grandparents James and Edith Gilbert Sims, Sr. and Jack and Martha Blackman.
He is survived by his,
Mother, Susan B. Wise of Pulaski.
Son, Dylan (Clair) Sims of Lewisburg
Son, Steven (Caylee) Sims of Lawrenceburg
Several aunts, uncles and cousins, and special friends Dale Polly and Sam Sneed also survive.
