Funeral Services for Mr. Kenneth Prickett, age 77 of Talladega, will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Rev. Bryan Camp officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.

Mr. Prickett passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at UAB Highlands. Born in Birmingham, he lived in Clay and Talladega Counties since 1986. He was a member of the United States Coast Guard for 4 years and worked as a mechanic on an ice breaking ship while stationed in Antarctica. Mr. Prickett worked over 32 years for Alabama Power as a hydroelectric operator. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and tinkering around. He was a hard worker, loved to travel and was a member of Stockdale Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen Tiberio Prickett of Ashland, two sons: Rodney Wayne Prickett (Karen) of Rainbow City and Christopher Prickett (Renae) of Alpine, his step son, Giuseppe Tiberio of Oneonta; his sister, Mona Martin of Thorsby; five grandchildren: Amanda Chambers, Mackenzie, Mason, Micah and Dustin Prickett, four great-grandchildren and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Thomas Prickett and Uel Margaret Rich Prickett and his brother, Gerald Prickett.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of the arrangements
