Anyone that truly knew Rita, knew her story, but let me hit the high points. She started her family at the age of 19 with the marriage of Carol Arzo Johnson. After the birth of her 2 boys, unfortunately Arzo passed. Then by only God’s grace she met her second soulmate and continued her story. Through good times and bad they always loved each other more than words could describe. During her time she was called by many names but the one that she loved the most was Ma-Ta.
Ma-Ta was not only a great woman but she was an amazing mom, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She dedicated her life to her family in every aspect. She touched the life of thousands with her skill in fashion. It was truly an art that not too many have perfected. She was able to change the lives of many kids through her career in teaching and also through the ownership of a daycare that offered support to many. Her memory will never be lost and she will always be loved.
