Morris "Duncan" WoodwardMorris “Duncan” Woodward, 99, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Mr. Woodward was born on October 5, 1921. Duncan was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He retired from Woodward Brothers Produce Company after 33 years. He was a native of Madison County, Alabama. He was also a member of Valley United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Alabama and First United Methodist Church of Winchester, Tennessee. Duncan was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Katie, who was his high school sweetheart. His survivors include his sons, Larry Woodward (Cindy), Lee Woodward (Cherry), and Steve Woodward (Debbie) of Winchester, TN, and his daughter, Janet Geller (Curt) of Raleigh, NC. Duncan “Paw Paw” had six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His grandchildren are Todd Woodward, Amy Moore, Elise Thomason, Jennifer Sawyer, Vicki Zeck, and Joshua Woodward and great-grandchildren, Andrew Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Madeline Moore, Wyatt Zeck, Charles Thomason, and Savannah Sawyer. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews. He was treasured by all members of his family. His family and good friends were the love of his life.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 5th at Maple Hill Cemetery.
