Graveside service for Roger Walker Truitt, age 81, of Decatur, will be Thursday, April 1, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with Tim Simpson officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Truitt, who died Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born July 6, 1939, in Rogersville, to George Washington Truitt and Edith Lucille Collier Truitt. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Mae Franks Truitt of Decatur; three sons, Warren Truitt (Tracy) of Auburn, Eric Truitt (Susanna) of Richmond, VA, and Heath Truitt (Nicole) of Auburn; one daughter, Alison Henderson (Charles) of Trenton, GA; two brothers, Danny Truitt (Deborah) and George Truitt (Karen), both of Decatur; and 11 grandchildren.
