Winston Allen Gandy, age 73, a resident of Hohenwald, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at his home on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Born on January 1, 1948 in Bay Springs, Mississippi, Winston was the son of the late Winston A. Gandy and the late Janell Blackwell Gandy. He was retired from the United States Navy after twenty-two years of service. A true outdoorsman, Winston often enjoyed hunting and fishing and in his younger years became an Eagle Scout. He also previously enjoyed rock, mineral, and gem hunting. Winston was a jack of all trades, whether it was mechanic, welding, or electrical work; you name it, he could do it.
He is survived by his daughters: Jenell Gandy, Jennifer Gandy, Joanna (William) Cox; sisters: Rhonda Byrd, Gloria James; and grandchildren: Jasmyn, Jasyn, and Justyn Souza.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Sheryl Gandy; brother, Patrick Gandy; and sister, Brenda Wentworth.
