Mrs. Melody Lucile Sandlin, age 45, of Nauvoo passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Memorial services will be 6:00 PM Friday, March 26, 2021 at Bell Sumiton Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Melody’s greatest joys and loves in life were her kids, her husband, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She was a mother to many. She loved God and was happiest listening to old school hymns. She enjoyed mystery, horror and LMN movies. She was an avid game, card and word search player. She would always be found listening to Chris Stapleton music. Butterflies were her favorite. She was blessed to take care of her parents prior to their passing. She will be known for her kindness and compassion, which was given to every person she came in contact with. She took care of everyone around her and always left you feeling better than before. She was a most special person and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Milton Day; and mother, Lucile Melvin Day.
She is survived by her daughter, Brandi Lavina Sandlin; first born son, Joshua Lee Worley; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Hopper; son, Joshua Elliot Sandlin; daughter, Meagan Lucille Worley; daughter, Kaitlyn Shelby Sandlin; husband, Donald Elliot Sandlin; aunt, Billie Isom; sister, Tonya Walker; brother-in-law, Adam Walker; grandson, Easton; mother-in-law, Betty Jean Sandlin; several brothers and sister-in-laws; and her dog, Skout.
