FLORENCE-On Monday, March 15 the Florence Police Department issued a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect in the stabbing of a man on March10:
On March 10, 2021, Florence Police officers responded to a report of an adult male who had been stabbed. The incident occurred in the 400 block of E. Lelia St. The victim received treatment at North Alabama Medical Center and was later released from their care.
On March 12, 2021, Jack Franklin Lawrence (02/10/1964) of Florence, AL. was arrested in connection with this incident and charged with Assault in the first degree. He was transported to the Lauderdale County Detention Center and held on a $30,000 bond.
Due to the on going investigation, there is no further information to release at this time.
