Magdalene Hornbuckle Hill  Magdalene “Maggie” Hornbuckle Hill
August 15, 1933 – March 1, 2021

Ms. Hill, 87, was born in Marshall County, AL. She moved to New Hope in 2017 where she resided at her passing. The majority of her life she lived and worked in Huntsville, AL. Maggie retired from Englehart…with her zest for life, she wasn’t quite ready for her “rocking chair”. Maggie worked part time with Costco and Sam’s, as a sample demonstrator and door greeter. She loved Alabama football, her fur babies, & most of all… spending time with family, telling stories, sharing memories thru her famous & beloved “photos”, her legacy.

Ms. Hill was preceded in passing by William Thomas Hill of New Hope; their infant son, William Thomas Hill, Jr; grandson, Bradley Guthrie (Ann Guthrie Graves); her beloved fur baby “Fluffy”; her parents, Joseph “Jack” Hornbuckle & Sarah Elizabeth “Lizzie” Bolton Hornbuckle; five sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathey Hamer of Huntsville, Deborah Hollingsworth of Owens Cross Roads and Ann (Larry) Graves of New Hope; grandchildren, Wm. Todd Hamer, DMD, Tami Hamer (Cyrus) Bachelder of Huntsville, Chris Hollingsworth of Woodville, Eric Hollingsworth of New Hope and BJ Guthrie of GA; great grandchildren, Nikki & Shelby Hollingsworth of New Hope, Bobby Hollingsworth of New Hope, Madelyne Bobicz (Tami H.B. Bachelder) of S.C., Ava & Isabel Bachelder of Huntsville and Ashlyn & Tyler Graves of New Hope; great great grandson, Memphis Hollingsworth of New Hope and two sisters, Juanita Stewart of FL and Velda Gray of GA.

Please join the family, as we honor Mom with visitation, Friday evening, March 12, 2021, 5-8 pm at New Hope Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 13 at 1pm NHFH Chapel.

Burial will be in Whitaker Cemetery.

As she Loved to Garden, she Loved to receive…Flowers.
