William "Bill" Sam Van Hooser William “Bill” Sam Van Hooser Jr, age 61 of Decherd, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at St Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro. He was born in Alhambra, California on January 20, 1959 to the late William Sam and Joann (Glossup) Van Hooser and was a 1978 graduate of Franklin County High School. Bill had been employed for many years as a car salesman for Russell-Barnett Automotive. He was an avid Alabama Football fan and enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. But most of all, Bill cherished the time spent with his family and many friends. He was a member of Decherd First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Ann Van Hooser. Bill is survived by his loving aunts and uncles, Glenda Glossup Simmons of Pulaski, Peggy Glossup Farrar of Pulaski, Samuel Glossup of Ardmore, Alabama, Joe Glossup of Okeechobee, Florida, Carl Glossup of Pulaski, and Jack (Wanda) Van Hooser of Nashville. Visitation will be from 11 am-2 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Chris Nolan officiating.
