Rebecca Mae Sharp age 85, of Albertville passed away Monday Feb. 15, 2021, at Big Springs Diversicare in Huntsville. Rebecca was born on July 26, 1935, in Jasper, TN the Daughter of Hester Miles and Frances Lorraine Hass Carter. She was a homemaker and did clothing factory work in Ft. Payne for many years. Survivors include her Son: Jimmy (Vicki) Sharp of Owen’s Cross Road; Daughters: Barbara Ann Richards of Canton, GA, Violet Sue Long of Grant, Penny Kay (Michael) Isbell of Cullman, Flora Louise Reynolds of Jasper and Patricia Faye Sharp of Albertville; Sister: Betty Jane Rector of Whitwell, TN; Brothers: Jr. Carter of Summerville, GA and Steve (Patsy) Carter of Whitwell, TN; 15 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren and 16 Great Great Grandchildren; Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Hester Miles and Frances Lorraine Hass Carter; Husband: James William Lecil Sharp and Husband: Ralph Wood; Sons: James L. Sharp and Paul Howard Sharp; Grandchildren: J.L. Sharp and Ashley Isbell; Brothers: Carlos, Carl and Tommy Carter; Sister: Anna Mae Kilgore; Son in law: Hubert Long. Funeral Service will be Friday Feb. 19, 2021, at 1 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel with Bro. Gary Swords officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Thurs. at Gober Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers: Thomas Long, Wayne Long, Ben Long, Lee Watson, Paul David Watson, Wesley Damon and Tony Hollis; Honorary: Brent Winkles, Dion Sledge and John Sledge.
