Richard Evans Dick, 73, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday. Mr. Dick was an Allstate basketball player in high school, and was a huge Alabama fan, despite going to Auburn. He was the past President of the Rotary Club in Jasper. He was a member of the Madison County and Alabama Bar Association, the Huntsville Quarterback Club, and the Committee of One Hundred. He was a mentor to many, a friend to all, and active in many civic organizations.
Richard was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Brian Dick, his parents, Jack and Dorothea Dick, and his in-laws, Col. (Ret) William O. and Ree Rennhack. Survivors include his wife, Leslie Dick; daughter, Kelsy Megan Dick; brother, Thomas Dick (Victoria); and numerous cousins.
Services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntsville Heart Center.
