Funeral service for Amanda Freeman, 43, will be Friday, February 12, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Freeman died on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at UAB Hospital, Birmingham. She was born December 10, 1977, in Morgan County to Charles Lee Akers and Brenda Ann Hornbuckle Akers. Amanda was a graduate of the 1996 class of Hartselle High School. She very much loved her family and her children and she loved “Big”. She cared about everybody and loved to help others and make people happy. She enjoyed sports, especially basketball, and loved her pets. Amanda had a very big loving heart and never met a stranger. She was a very strong person, who stayed strong throughout her sickness. She was the bravest mother and friend and was the “Rock” of her families’ lives. She worked for Treehouse Dentistry, prior to her passing.
She was preceded in death by her father: Charles Akers.

Husband – Brad Freeman
Sons – Tucker Freeman and
Brayden Freeman
Mother: Brenda Hornbuckle Akers
Brother – Jason Akers
and two nieces whom she loved as daughters: Monica and Maggie Akers
Pallbearers will be Jason Akers, Isaac Morris, Daniel Morris, Jacob Faulk, Jeremy Jeffries, Chuck Gill.
