Age 80 of Cross Plains, TN passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center. She was born May 25, 1940 in Smith County, TN to Gilbert Phylander & Bessie Dixon Sutton. She worked for 24 years as an assembly line worker for Anchor Wire and had attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing BINGO, collecting glassware and bird watching, especially hummingbirds. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel J. Walters; son, Robert Raider; daughter, Rita Lynn Raider; step-son, Terry Walters; sister, Ruby Boyd; two infant brothers; infant great-granddaughter. She is survived by her son, David Jefferson Walters, Orlinda, TN; brother, Tommy Harold (Marilyn) Sutton, Nashville, TN; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Smith and Danielle Raider; 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12 noon in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home In White House with Bro. Jon Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in Dixon Springs Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Friday, February 12, 2021 4-8pm and Saturday, February 13, 2021 10am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
