Mary Elizabeth Rice Carr, age 89, of Attalla, Alabama passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021. Mrs. Carr was the daughter of the late William M. and Maude Beasley Rice of Oneonta. Cremation was through Collier-Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gadsden, AL. Mrs. Carr was a member of Bellevue United Methodist Church, Gadsden, AL and a member of the Gadsden Woman’s Club. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, J. Richard Carr; two sons J. Rice Carr and Clay R. Carr; daughter in law Rebecca Carr; four granddaughters Clare Anderson, Jane Evan Collum, Mary Clay Holtkamp, and Emma Carr; and great grandson Wade Rivers Holtkamp. The family will hold a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery, Oneonta, Alabama, at 1pm on February 20, 2021.
