Mr. Walter “Ray” Hodges, age 72, of Quinton, AL, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021. Ray was a Master Mason, a former Dora City Councilman, Dora police officer, fire chief, and finally retired from Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Funeral Services for Mr. Hodges will be Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 11:30 AM in The Bell Sumiton Chapel.
Mr. Hodges is preceded in death by his parents, Walter, and Ira-Bell Hodges.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mrs. Brenda Hodges; son, Jason Hodges; daughter, Sara Rogers (James); grandson, David “Andrew” Ross (Kim); great-granddaughter, Natalie Ross; special sister, Rebeccah Williams (Grover); special brothers, Gary Bryant (Carolyn), and Mark Bryant (Dewanna); and a very-very special friend, Dorothy “Dot” Daniel.
