Mary Fraley Freedle Mary Fraley Freedle, age 92 of McMinnville, TN passed from this life on Wednesday, February 03, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on August 18, 1928 to Charlie and Grace Marshall Fraley. She was a resident of Warren County and a native of Franklin County. She was a member of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Lions Club, and Just Senior Friends Group. Mary started her career as a Switchboard Operator. It was there where she met her husband, Luther Freedle whom she wed in August of 1949. Mary was married for 39 years, until her husband’s death, in 1988.  Mary later chose a career as a cashier. She was known by many from 18 years of service at Cooper Martin. She later retired from Wal-Mart, at the age of 78.

Mary enjoyed traveling. She enjoyed Cozumel, Ireland, and Scotland to name a few of the places she visited. Mary was an avid gardener. She had many flowers and plants over the years. Many admired them, especially her beautiful Christmas Cactus. She always said, “A flower was one of the most beautiful things on Earth”. Mary spent a lot of her free-time baking and cooking for family and friends. She baked dozens of delicious brownies, birthday cakes, cookies, and pies for her family and her great-grand babies. You never left her house hungry. She enjoyed baking pies for the Lions Club Fair Booth, yearly. She made hundreds of chess, chocolate, and peanut butter pies, over the years. Everyone loved her pies!

Mary was a woman of courage, elegance, and stubbornness. She loved her word searches, and completed countless books. She enjoyed and always looked forward to Saturdays spent at the beauty shop, up until recently. She was a woman who watched the Stock Market daily, and could tell you anything you needed to know about it.

Mary loved and enjoyed her Great-Grandsons. She treasured her time with them. She enjoyed the company of others and loved spending time with her family. Mary was reunited with her husband, Luther Mark Freedle, and son Byron Allan Freedle, ten brothers and sisters who preceded her in death.

Mary leaves behind her son Roy S. Freedle, granddaughters Jennifer Freedle (Russell Wilmoth) and Jessica (Chase) Hitchcock, great grandsons Wesley Wilmoth, Riley Wilmoth, and Tucker Hitchcock, sister Betty Jean Majors, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. A graveside service was held at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. A special thank you to our caregivers. Amanda, you did your job with so much compassion and knowledge. Wesley, your dedication, time, and loving compassionate care you provided to your Great Grandmother was beyond amazing, and will never be forgotten. You did an outstanding job! A special thank you to Mary’s nurse Marli. Your compassion for your patients is exceptional. She enjoyed your visits.
