Lymon Keith Gower, 84, of Meridianville, passed away February 3. Keith was born in Brookport, IL on January 23, 1937. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 21 years of service. He also worked for Bankston Motor Homes for 20 years following military service. He was a member of the East Huntsville church of Christ. He loved singing and many remember his beautiful, deep, base voice. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife Satomi Abe Gower, wife Kathy Echols Gower, parents Herman Taft and Ethel Mae Gower, stepmother Ora Gower, brother Meredith Gower, sister Irene Banks, and sister June Dubray.
He is survived by son Ken (Regina) Gower; daughter Shirley (Tim) Childers; son Jason (Tina) Powell; daughter Olivia Cole; grandchildren Brandon (Kamille) Childers, Jed Powell, Frankie Cole, Carsyn Cole, Matthew Kelley, Hali Powell, Kaitlyn Kelley; sister Jannett Beasley; sister Dona Bateman; sister Kathryn Hodge; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Pall bearers: Brandon Childers, Matthew Kelley, Jed Powell, Frankie Cole, Jamie Turner, and Tony Stiles.
Due to COVID, there will be no visitation. There will be brief, family only, viewing at 1:00 at Berryhill Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at Stateline Cemetery on Saturday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. Bill Cantrell will officiate. Please practice social distancing and wear a mask.
