Mr. Ivy Lee Person, son of the late DeRoy Person and Laura Ann Bray Person, was born on July 16, 1956 in Madison County. He departed this life Thursday, January 21, 2021 after an extended illness in Hartsville, TN.
He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age and joined Center Pointe Baptist Church, and later joined Union Hill C.M.E. Church. For education he attended the Madison County public schools.
He was preceded in death by his father DeRoy Person, and one brother Roy Person.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two children: Brandy McKnuckles of Macon, GA, and Shaundrika Price of Springfield, IL. Seven siblings: Mary Ann Person and Dale Person of Antioch, TN, Geraldine Person, Terry (Desiree) Person of Murfreesboro, TN, Ocsarlee Person of Hermitage, TN, Joe (Diane) Person, and George Person of Jackson, TN. Six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, one uncle, and two aunts. Special friends, Janice McKnuckles and Tasha McKnuckles. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
