RuthRuth Barbara Ella Shaw Jones, 96, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, December 29, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She was born in McComb, MS on July 23, 1916. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tupelo, MS. She was a business owner and homemaker, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 10 AM until 11 AM on Wednesday, January 2 at Iuka United Methodist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Iuka United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Curtis. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Raymond Jourdan, Mike Hall, John Hall, Craig Livingston, Len Palumbo, Danny Stehlar, Brian Harrington, Luke Ellenbury, and Jay Jourdan. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 3 daughters – Beverly Jourdan (Gene) of Iuka; Barbara Livingston (Roland) of Lafayette, LA; and Jo Ann Harrington (Bill) of Iuka; 8 grandchildren – Raymond Jourdan (Cindy) of Tupelo; Babs Jourdan Hall (Mike) of Arab, AL; Len Palumbo (Leslie) of Avondale Estates, GA; Stacy Palumbo Stehlar (Danny) of Atlanta, GA; Craig Livingston (Sarah) of Baton Rouge, LA; Colin Livingston and Chris Livingston (Heather), both of Hollywood, CA, and Brian Harrington (Brandi) of Suwanee, GA; and 11 great grandchildren – Barbara Jane Hall, John Hall, Katherine Jourdan, Jay Jourdan, Abigail Livingston, Leanne Livingston, Ellen Livingston, Molly Palumbo, Charlie Palumbo, Autumn Harrington, and Hayden Harrington. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Bailey Jones; two brothers; and three sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iuka United Methodist Church at 101 Eastport Street, Iuka, MS 38852; or to Traceway Retirement Center at P.O. Box 1567 Tupelo, MS 38802.
