Fred Henry Wiseman

Age 74 of Cottontown, TN passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his home. He was born March 29, 1946 in Memphis, TN to Henry Briton & Effie Marie Daniels Wiseman. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 34+ years before his retirement in various positions, ending with Manager of Field Maintenance. He enjoyed bowling, riding motorcycles and drinking good bourbon. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, serving three tours of duty in Vietnam. He also was a Mason. He loved spending time with his family and was a great father. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-son, William Shea; brother, Bobby; sisters, Margie and Peggy. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Anita Wiseman, Cottontown, TN; sons, Randy (Kim) Wiseman, Mount Juliet, TN and Joel (Mary) Wiseman, Old Hickory, TN; 2 step-daughters, Cristina (Barry) Shea, Nashville, TN and Stephanie (Larry) West, Hendersonville, TN; brother, Johnny (Vicki) Wiseman, White House, TN; 11 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Gathering and visitation will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 from 3-6pm at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, followed by Funeral Service at 6pm in the chapel, with Bro. Daniel Smith officiating. Interment and Graveside Committal Service will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 12:30pm in Middle Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery with military honors.
