Funeral service for Thomas Allen Barton will be 2PM Friday, January 22, 2021, at the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, January 21, 2021, from 5:30 – 8PM. The interment will be in the Good Hope Cemetery. Brother Freddy Childs will officiate the service.

Thomas Allen Barton (Brother AL) passed away on January 19, 2021, at his residence. Over the past 40 years, he devoted his life as a Pastor to various churches in Blount and Cullman County. Dad enjoyed fishing, traveling, umping softball games, spending time with his grandkids, and was very active with the Youth Group at church. But most of all, he enjoyed preaching the Word of God and seeing souls saved was his passion…. next to eating some fried chicken on 1st Sunday lunch.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra Scott Barton; daughter, Chasity Barton Jordan (Thomas Jordan); son, Jason Barton (Cindy Barton); 4 grandchildren, Morgan Barton, Weston Barton, Landon Jordan, Brooklyn Barton; brother, Jimmy Barton (Donna Barton); and a host of family and friends.
Mr. Barton was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Yancy; step-dad, Ivan Yancy.
Pallbearers will be nephews, J.T. Scott, Wayne Scott, Jeff Scott, Matthew Dyer, Micah Dyer, Derrick Barton.
