Mrs. Mae Jean Hagood, age 81, of the Fernbank Community in Millport, AL, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Glenwood Center in Florence, AL.
Mrs. Hagood was born November 19, 1939, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Boyd and Dorothy Blanton, and was a bookkeeper. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Randall Blanton, David Blanton, and Eddie Blanton, and one sister, Nancy Beck.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Drew Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening 6:00-8:00 PM.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Hagood of Millport, AL; one daughter, Joy (Mike) Lasseter, of Pensacola, FL; one son, Jonathan (Amy) Hagood, of Saltillo, MS; three grandchildren, Kelsi (Jesse) Finley, Kalin (Lance) McRee, and John David Hagood; three great-grandchildren, Bailey and Rylee Finley, and T.C. McRee; two brothers, Jim Blanton and Roy Blanton, both of Millport, AL; and a host of other family and friends.
