Rachel Armstrong, 95, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at her son’s home surrounded by loving family. Rachel was born on March 4, 1925 in Golden, MS, the daughter of Robert and Victoria Byram Epps. She was educated in the schools of Mississippi. She married James Armstrong on June 8, 1946 in Mississippi. Rachel was a homemaker most of her life. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening, canning and spending time with family and friends.

Graveside services will be Sunday, January 17, 2 p.m. at Lindsey Cemetery, Dennis, MS with Bro. Clinton Barnett officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her children – Gary E. (MariAnne) Armstrong of Kenosha, WI and Jeffrey (Lori) Armstrong of CT; grandchildren – Carrie (Shaun) Berry, Daryl Armstrong, Charles (Elise) Armstrong and AJ (Stephanie) Armstrong; great-grandchildren – Rachel, Sarah, Elise and Ayla; great-great-grandchildren – Emma and Reagan and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Clayton, Lester, Pat, Woody, Archie and Owen and sisters, Shellie, Essie and Exie.
