Johnny A. Burks, 58, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Red Bay Hospital. He was born in Red Bay, AL and worked at Sunshine Homes and Dollar General as food manager. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL.
Graveside services will be Sunday, January 17, 4 p.m. at Ebenezer Cemetery, Vina, AL with Bro. Josh Payne and Bro. Edwin Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife – Jennifer Burks; two children – Brandi Burks (Dakota Fowler) and Jonathan Burks (Jean); three grandchildren – A.J. Smith, Justin Fowler and Madelyn Burks and three brothers – Bunt Burks (Kathy), Earsten Burks (Lottie) and Jerry Burks (Debbie).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ransom William and Corene Eloise Mitchell Burks, a grandson, Bentley Fowler and two brothers, Huzie Burks and Eartis Burks.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 17, 3:30 – 4 p.m. at Ebenezer Cemetery.
