William E. Lakeman (Bill), age 94, of Haleyville, AL passed away January 14, 2021. He had a 40-year career working for Delta Air Lines and Eastern Air Lines in Dallas, Birmingham, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Miami. After retirement he moved back to Haleyville for his dream job … running the Dixie Theatre with his cousin Jack Lakeman. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Haleyville.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jewel Jackson Lakeman and his wife Rose Murphy Lakeman.
He is survived by his five sons: Dale Lakeman (his wife Cathie), John Lakeman, Tom Lakeman (his wife Becky), Mike Lakeman (his wife Marie), and Jeff Lakeman (his husband Robert); his three step-daughters: Robin McClung (her husband Keith), Karen Duke (her husband Lester), and Kathy Barber (her husband Chester); his twelve grandchildren: Jeremy Lakeman, Chris Lakeman, Amanda Lakeman, Evan Lakeman, Emily McSweeney, Jani Howell, Maggie Lakeman, Miranda Medlock, Alma Barber, Louis Barber, Jason Colburn, Season Crumpton.
