William E. Howell, 87, of Sardis, went to be with Jesus on January 13, 2021.
He was a retired veteran, a loving husband, father, and a wonderful friend. He was loved by many. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and camping.
William “Gramps” was such a delight to be around and to know him was to love him. He was a kind man with a heart of gold and he loved the Lord. He always said he knew where his eternal home would be and it was in heaven with the Lord, Peggy, and Celeste
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Conway Howell; a precious daughter, Celeste Ann Howell; three brothers, Fay Brown, Ray Brown, and Adam Brown and two sisters, Alene Bridges and Irene Brown, all of Sardis.
He is survived by his sister, Alene Webb of Parkers Crossroads; a very special lifelong friend and caretaker, Gale Hamm (James Hamm) of Reagan; and nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren that called him “Gramps”.
Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Stringtown Pentecostal Church with Bro. Price officiating.
