Jasper F. “Fred” Basye, Jr., 80 of Arab passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Marshall Medical Center North. Fred was born December 12, 1940 in Mississippi the son of Jasper F. Basye, Sr. and Ola Mae Crawley Basye. He was a retired Math Teacher at Walnut Grove High School and attended Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Fred is survived by Daughters: Nicole Stephens (David) of Madison and Rhodona Carroll (Mike) of Locust Fork; Sister: Patsy Smith of Texas; Brothers: Gordon Stuckey of Mississippi and Bobby Starkey (Linda) of Louisiana; Five Grandchildren and Six Great Grandchildren; Host of Nieces and Nephews.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Gober Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.
