A Funeral service for Antonio DeLavelle Staples, Jr, age 20, was Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. David Staples officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Christian Fellowship Church Cemetery.
Antonio passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021, at Clay County Hospital in Ashland. A lifelong resident of Clay County, he also was a graduate of Clay County High School. Antonio was a blessing to so many and will be forever missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Antonio Staples, Sr. (Amber Quilliams) and Brandie Staples (Eric Thomas); two sisters, Ellyana Staples of Oxford and Isabelle Harmon of Oxford; three brothers, Timmy Staples of Lineville, Braden Staples and Payton Staples both of Oxford; grandparents, Daniel and Jackie Mitchell and David and Gloria Staples; a large extended family and many friends.
Preceded in death by his grandmother, Ava Brown Mitchell.
Active pallbearers will be, Dewayne Akins, Michael Bowman, Patrick Cotney, Wade Cotney, Will Smith, Loggyn Lett, Camryn Clark, Quintez Ward and Cody Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Staples, Braden Staples, and Payton Staples.
Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland is in Charge of Arrangements.
