Mr. Joseph Lawrence Clemmons, age 69, a resident of Waynesboro, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Waynesboro Health and Rehab.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Freedom in Maury Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the United States Army. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 10AM-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Joseph was born on January 28, 1951 in Frankfort, Germany. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving three years in Vietnam. Joseph attended Austin Peay College, was a mid-state golf champion, and previously worked as a car salesman.
He is survived by his special companion, Sherry Keeton of Waynesboro; son, Robert Clemmons of Coleman, AL; and stepdaughter, Chasitty Pitts of Waynesboro.
