Jackie Booer Waggoner, age 81 of Estill Springs, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. He was born in Moore County on May 30, 1939 to the late John and Ethel (Hopkins) Waggoner. Before his retirement, he had worked as a residential contractor for over fifty years. Jackie was a devoted member of Marble Hill Methodist Church, where he had been baptized as a young man. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, riding his Harley, and listening to country and gospel music. An avid sports fan, he loved watching the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Braves. Jackie will be remembered for his pleasant nature and sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Geneva Sullenger, Marvin Waggoner, John Waggoner, Raymond Waggoner, Glendon Waggoner, and Lynn Waggoner. Jackie is survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Mary Waggoner of Estill Springs; children, Debbie Thomas of Tullahoma, and Dennis Waggoner of Manchester; grandchildren, Breanna, Cody, Jason, Alex, and Andrew; two great-granddaughters; step-children, Terry (Patty) Bush of Manchester, Robert (Karen) Bush of Winchester, Kimberly (Jeff) Bush Walker of Webster, Texas, and Donna Bush of Winchester; several step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev.
