Paul Halbert Stevens Paul Halbert Stevens, age 83 of Decherd, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. He was born in Anderson, Tennessee on April 13, 1937 to the late J.D. and Mary Louise (Shetters) Stephens. Paul served his country in the United States Army. He later worked and retired as an ironworker in the commercial construction industry. A strong-willed, tough, hard-working family man, every day his feet hit the floor for one purpose and one purpose only, his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in the yard, but most of all cherished the time spent with his beloved family. Paul was a member of Cowan First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Stevens; twin sister, Pauline; siblings, Charles Stephens, Hugh Stephens, Irene Douglas, Florence, and Faye Isbell; and son, Tim Stephens. He is survived by his loving children, Joey (Cindy) Davis of Winchester, Shawn Stevens of Winchester, Tiffany (Shane) Hartwig of Decherd, and Paul E. Stephens of Arkansas; grandchildren, Courtney Holt, Brittney Davis, Carley Davis, Cody Mason, Matthew Barnes, Jake Fraker, Bella Paul Hartwig, Madison Hartwig, and Megan Hartwig; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Holt, Averly Holt, Nate Mason, Tristyn Barnes, and Mattison Barnes; sister, Sue (Dave) Alexander of Gallatin; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
