Gladys K. Parker, 93, died at her home in Huntsville, Alabama on December 23, 2020.
She was born November 23, 1927, in New Market, Alabama to Walter and Willie Kennedy. She graduated from Manchester High School in 1945.
She and her husband, Joe Parker, of 65 years, lived a wonderful life. They loved to travel and shared their love of travel with their grandchildren.
She was an active member of Memorial Parkway church of Christ now Chase Park church of Christ. She and Joe were Sojourners, in their retirement years they were able to combine their love of traveling and spreading the word of Christ to others all over the U.S. She loved to garden, and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband, Joe Parker; 2 sons and their spouses, Greg and Joan Parker, Jeff and Kristine Parker; and 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her amazing caregivers, Edna Tate and Carol Sledge and others, that she had the last few years of her life. We can’t thank you all enough for your compassion and friendship.
