Judy Johnson Newton passed away Tuesday evening, December 22, 2020, at her home in Giles County surrounded by her family. She was born in Giles County on November 30, 1944 and was 76 years old.

Judy loved her family and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked as a nurse at the old Giles County Hospital and later at Hillside Hospital. She graduated from Prospect School and attended Tennessee College of Applied Technology where she received her Associates Degree. She enjoyed taking care of her family and friends and cooking.

Visitation with the family will be 11:00am to 2:00pm Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce funeral home with Bro. Mark Johnson officiating.

The burial will follow in the Aspen Hill Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Newton. Her parents Johnny and Annie Wakefield Johnson, son Ronnie Hickman, daughter, Karen Shaw, granddaughter, Misty McFann.

She is survived by her
Daughter Judith McFann of Pulaski.
Daughter, Jeannie (Brad) Jones of Pulaski.
13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Brother, William (Emily) Johnson of Prospect, TN.
Sisters, Flora (J.B.) Smith of Pulaski, TN and Sue (Charley) Johnson of East TN.

Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements for Judy Johnson Newton.
