Harold Ray Atkins, 69 of Jasper, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at UAB Hospital.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at New Oak Grove Cemetery. Thomas Hyche will officiate. In lieu of a visitation the family will host a fish fry memorial later this Spring.
Mr. Atkins is survived by his Wife-Cathy; Sons-Jason (Robert) and Brian (Miriam); Grandchildren-Jacob, Morgan and Evan.
He was preceded in death by his Parents-Louise Christine Atkins and William Thomas Atkins of Riverview, FL; Sisters-Brenda Atkins Riser, Karen Law (Wayne), Vicki Atkins Campoli (Bob) and Tina Atkins; Brother-William Thomas Atkins, II; a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Atkins was a lifelong fisherman, avid golfer and a devout fan of the Crimson Tide. He was a coal miner and mechanic, and always was there willing to lend a hand. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren and loved every day and everyone with his amazing heart and love of life.
