Mike Cicero Byrd, Jr., 81, Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Jerry Hester officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Mike retired from Wise Metals and was the co-owner and co-operator of Byrd’s Small Engines and Byrd’s Storm Windows. He was a member of Family Worship Center, where he loved playing his guitar and singing. Mike was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Byrd; parents, Mike and Alta Byrd; and brother Morris Byrd.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, June Byrd; sons, Michael Byrd and Mark Byrd (Angela); step-children, Sam Garner (Christy) and Theresa Garner Sanders; sister, Kathleen Roland; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
