A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Geraldine Garner Ballinger, 84, will be Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Ballinger Family Cemetery in Valhermoso Springs with Bro. Robert Cruise and Dr. James Troglen officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ballinger passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born March 23, 1936, in Morgan County to Sam and Emma Garner.
She was a production worker for Saginaw Steering Gear (General Motors), prior to her retirement. She was a long-time resident of Valhermoso Springs and a member of the Talucah Presbyterian Church. She was an avid gardner and enjoyed line-dancing, having been a member of the “Boot Scooter: Line dancers.
Preceding her in death were her husband: Hoyt Ballinger and her parents.
Survivors include:
Four Sons – Jerry Ballinger (Kathy)
Jimmy “Bo” Ballinger (Valerie Jo)
Joe Ballinger (Wanda) and
Lee Ballinger (Pam)
One Daughter – Regina “Jeannie” Troglen (James)
Twenty-Three Grandchildren and
Sixteen Great Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Jamison Toglen, Brody Ballinger, Ory Ballinger, Josh Ballinger, Jerome Parker and Andrew Ballinger.
