Sylvia Beatrice Samons Rodgers, age 75 of Quinton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday December 15, 2020. Mrs. Rodgers was a homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Most importantly, she was a born- again child of God.
Graveside service and interment will be Friday Dec. 18, 2020 at 11:00 am at West Jefferson Freewill Cemetery. Rev. Gene Hopkins will officiate. Due to current Covid-19 protocols, visitation is for the family only. Everyone is welcome to attend the graveside service.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Johnny B. Rodgers; her children, Katrina Horsley (Gerald), Johnny Rodgers, Jr. (Gina) and Barry Rodgers (Dana); grandchildren, Misty Burdette (Scott), Chris Horsley (Stefany), Tiffany Davies (Matt), Kori Grant (Chris) and Landon Rodgers; great grandchildren, Lennox, Ayden, Harper and Hudson; sisters, Evelyn Love and Velva Todd; her companion, “Pickles” her dog; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
